Who minds a little wind! Well, it is actually quite important to check the wind speed when you are going to the mountains, but let’s not focus on that. This photo is from 2018 when I lived in Scotland and did more winter mountaineering. I have not had many winter days on the mountains in the past few winters, and I miss the bright, cold days and the sound of crampons biting into the snow. The English Lake District has had snow this year, but the lockdown has made it unacceptable to enjoy the hills. Next year I’ll make sure to have at least one big winter day in Scotland.
