Have you read Virginia Woolf’s Orlando? I quite liked it to be honest and thought I’d share this quote here. This is from the end of the novel and is not especially important considering the storyline but it caught my attention when I was speedily reading the last pages before returning the book to the library. It captures this moment when everything is very still, not calm, but waiting for something to happen.
