This quote is often linked to the Bible, but I’m not sure if it is actually in there – I haven’t read that particular book. But I’m sure everyone knows the meaning. I was hurt and lied to by a person I used to respect and hold very dear. Whilst it hurt to hear all that the person had to say to me and about me, it hurts even more to know that there were many things he did not say to me. I can forgive and respect decisions even if I don’t agree with them, but I do not tolerate lies. With lies you ruin your whole reputation. Was anything you did honest? Can anything you say be trusted? Things that are kept inside and things that are kept secret cause much more damage than honest discussion.
